Johnson and Sheridan CountiesTerm 2014 - 2017JoAnn Pearson, a Wyoming native, grew up on a cattle and sheep ranch near Rock River in south/central Wyoming. JoAnn graduated from the University of Wyoming with an elementary education degree.
After graduation JoAnn worked as a teacher for 21 years in various towns in Wyoming.
In 2005 JoAnn was selected as Exemplary Educator of the Year and Awarded Agriculture in the Classroom "Educator of the Year".
The most rewarding experience for her was teaching, and since she has retired from teaching, she has chosen to volunteer at the Boy's and Girl's Club to help with homework.
JoAnn enjoys gourmet cooking, fly fishing, rafting, but most of all the chance to be out in nature to see the animals in their natural environment.
JoAnn is married to John Pearson, a farm/ranch Real Estate Broker that owns Pearson Real Estate in Buffalo, Wyoming. They have a daughter and son-in-law that own and operate the Yodeler Motel in Red Lodge, Montana. Their older daughter is a graphics designer in Dallas, Texas.
